From The Norwegian Moustache Club:
The Norwegian moustache Club founded 1991.
In 1991 a few enthusiasts started the club in Trondheim. From 1991 until 1998 Ole Skibnes held the presidency. The club model follows the English moustache and beard club “The handlebar Club”. Our club is the only registered moustache club in Norway. In 1997 we arranged World Championship in Beard and Moustache.
Today we are 38 members from all over Norway. To become a member certain specific requirement needs to be filled, both concerning the beard or moustache and the personality of the applying person. The applies gentleman manners are the most significant character upon evaluation for membership. We have a monthly meeting where we celebrate ourselves and have discussions around national and international issues concerning beard and moustache.
The § 3, in our regulations is the main rule and reason for our existents, it says.
The Clubs intentions are:
a) To bring men with beard or moustache, who has an interest in anything to do with moustache or beard together.
b) To develop gentleman manners and friendship between members of the Club.
c) To actively inform and enlighten about beard and moustache.
